Employment & Training's goal is to enhance employment opportunities in the local economy. The staff is committed to serving the unemployed, underemployed, and low-income American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Hawaiian Natives
The Employment & Training Department ensures tribal members residing in our service areas have access to current labor market information, high quality technology systems, and advanced training and employment services. Our staff focus is to maximize customer success by removing barriers for employment
Our programs are administered in a way to not only meet regulatory requirements, but also in ways consistent with the traditional cultural values and beliefs of our Native American community members of the DFW metroplex
Includes GED practice testing and assistance with the cost of registering for the GED test.
Short Term and Long Term Training
Assistance for program participants that enroll in short-term and long-term training in pursuit of a continuing education certificate or college degree within a high-demand occupation.
Guidance for prospective students with identifying career paths that are centered around their individual strengths and interests.
Assistance with tranportation, books, immunizations, and tools. Based on funds availability.
